Officially announcing candidacy for District 4 Supervisor. After 14 years serving Trinity County and raising my family here, I'm running because our community deserves leadership that listens first.
Running for District 4 Supervisor
Growing up in Burnt Ranch taught me how government decisions affect real families. After 14 years serving Trinity County and raising my family here, I'm running for Supervisor because District 4 deserves leadership that listens first and stays grounded in our community's reality.

Practical solutions rooted in local knowledge and community input—not distant rules or one-size-fits-all policies.
Work with federal, state, tribal, and local partners to advance strategic fuels reduction where communities face the greatest risk, with strong coordination and meaningful local input.
Promote practical economic growth that creates local jobs while preserving Trinity County's rural character by partnering with local businesses and removing unnecessary regulatory barriers.
Work closely with fire, EMS, and law enforcement professionals to ensure the County provides the resources and support needed to keep communities safe.
Ensure local voices come first and that community members are clearly heard throughout the decision-making process.
My approach is simple: Listen before deciding. Be clear about tradeoffs. Protect property, livelihoods, and working lands. Prepare for wildfire and emergencies. Remove unnecessary barriers. Keep government transparent and accountable.

I was born and raised in Burnt Ranch, where I saw firsthand how government decisions and market shifts can reshape entire communities. When the mills closed, families left—including mine. That experience taught me early that policy isn't abstract; it impacts real people, real families, and real lives.
Fourteen years ago, my wife Liz and I chose to come home. We've raised our three daughters—Alex, Maya, and Emily—here in District 4. Like many local families, we've navigated Trinity County's changing economy, from cannabis to conservation. I currently serve on the Planning Commission and as President of the North Fork Grange, working with federal agencies, state programs, and community partners to bring resources and education back to our communities.
Today we live in Junction City, where we garden, care for animals, and spend time on the river—the simple things that keep us rooted and connected to our neighbors. Trinity County isn't just where we live. It's where our kids are growing up, and it deserves thoughtful, steady leadership.
